So last month we were especially excited to get our hands on two new products from Trilogy:  Mineral Radiance Face Mask and Blemish Control Gel.  Sharyn, our premium cosmetics buyer tried the Mineral Radiance Face Mask while I gave the Blemish Control Gel a whirl – read on to see how we got on!

Thankfully my days of teenage acne are long past but unfortunately for me I’m still prone to the odd spot on my chin – and low and behold as soon as I got the Blemish Control Gel into my hands one popped up.  It says on the box to use the product 3 – 4 times a day, directly on the spot.  I learned the first time to be careful when squeezing the gel out of the tube – lots comes at one and you really do only need a tiny bit.  After application you can feel it working fast.  It numbs and cools the spot – taking away any stinging or burning – but again I had to be careful not to apply too much as I didn’t want to numb my whole chin!  After 3 days of application the spot had gone down and I did notice a difference in the redness that was left – it was way way less than normal (this is down to the ginger which reduces inflammation and rosehip which aids skin repair).  So would I rate this…..well yes I would!  First of all it smells great – not too astringent and because it’s all natural there’s no chemical smell; the numbing action was great too – literally taking the sting out of the spot, but what I loved most was the reduction in redness.  My only problem is that I didn’t get my hands on this stuff sooner!  It’s now a handbag staple – ready and waiting for the next dreaded breakout!

I recently received a sample of Trilogy’s new Mineral Radiance Mask and since all ladies love a good face mask I was only to eager to try this one.  They claim the benefits of this product lie with the mineral rich kaolin clay which delivers instant radiance with a deep cleansing action.  Also, native New Zealand pohutukawa extract helps tone and regenerate while emollient oils rosehip and evening primrose nourish and hydrate.  I say…that I was very impressed with the performance of this product.  Because Kaolin contains a variety of minerals which will deeply cleanse your skin and draw out impurities this was a perfect fit for my combination skin tone.  It also absorbs any excess sebum leaving skin feeling less oily, but not dry.  The consistency of the mask is thinner than most other masks and the benefit to this is that it spreads quickly and evenly on the skin.  I left mine on for 15 minutes to ensure that this product worked on my pores.  After easily removing the mask, (unlike some which need to be scrubbed off), my skin felt energised, smooth and clean.  The claim of instant radiance above is definitely not over exaggerated and I would go so far as to say my skin also felt toned.  Because Trilogy is a natural product the mask was very gentle on my skin so this would suit all skin types even those with sensitive skin.  It’s also kind to your wallet as it retails at €23.95 for a 60ml jar.
