Pippas Fashion Factory
Pippa O’Connor is famed for her chic style and fab but wearable beauty looks and her fashion factories held throughout the country give us an insight into how to achieve her looks! Most importantly she achieves many of her look with budget friendly products available in Sam McCauleys! Pippa visited Seafield Golf & Spa Hotel in Ballymoney Gorey last weekend (Feb 6th) and we had to find out what makes these events such a sell out!
Make-up artist and blogger Kate McCormack was on hand to demonstrate various products and guided attendees through a flawless make up look fit for any occasion in an easy to follow step by step and of course shared her favourite products and top tips.
Kate’s number one tip for great eye make up is to remove all oil from the eye and use an eye primer (she recommended Essence Eye Base, available in McCauleys for €2.29). From here you should build up colour starting with the lightest shade in your palette.
Next up in the make-up demonstration was the base, a primer is essential if you have oily skin or make up comes off easily, while Pippa loves the Stila One Step Correct primer she also uses the L’Oreal Lumibase which is more budget friendly.
Stila and L’Oreal are also top of Pippa’s list when it comes to foundation, her number one choice is Stila 10 in 1 illuminating balm followed by L’Oreal True Match, both foundations give good coverage without feeling too heavy.
When it comes to lips both Kate and Pippa can’t get enough of Stila Liquid Lipstick with Kate opting for Petina shade for her model look and Pippa saying she is a big fan of Besso. To outline lips Kate uses Rimmel Exaggerate Liner which is available in a selection of shades and costs under €6!
Pippa has amazing skin and we were dying to hear her skincare must haves! Pippa says she can’t live without her Elemis Cleansing Balm available to buy in our salons. Her favourite new budget buy is Garnier Miracle Wake Up Cream.
Pippa had a brilliant tip when it came to fake tan and we think it may be our favourite beauty tip ever! To avoid streaking or uneven colour on hand, apply lightly with an old foundation brush! Her brand of choice? Irish brand Cocoa Brown of course! A lady after our own hearts.
