Bourjois spring/summer 2016
Bourjois is a cult brand going through a mainstream revival and it’s no surprise given the quality of products on offer.
To celebrate we were invited to a day of all things Bourjois with Christina Luciano. Bourjois began as a theater make up brand in Paris in 1863 and has expanded to global brand. The unique thing about Bourjois is that many of the first products in the range can still be bought today (although in an altered version), one of the first products was the ever brilliant Little Round Pot Blush, which comes in a range of colours to suit every skintone and is also equipped with a brush for easy application.
Bourjois have created a range of foundations with various levels of coverage and finishes. If you like a light foundation which hydrates the skin; Healthy Mix Serum foundation does this and is also anti-fatigue! For heavier coverage with 16 hour staying power Bourjois Healthy Mix is our pick of the crop.
Problem skin can often be hard to cover and often we turn to high end brands which cost upwards of €30 but Bourjois have created 123 Perfect which hides rosacea, eczema and discolouration and costs just €14.99!
We were really excited to try to new Bourjois City Radience foundation which boasts SPF 30 plus 24hr hydration! It didn’t disappoint, this foundation blends easily feels light on the skin and gives medium coverage with a luminous finish.
New products are always our favourite and primers are an essential in winter to ensure even application when skin is a combination of dry, oily and normal textures, Bourjois have launched the Happy Light Serum Primers which feels smooth and easily absorbs into the skin! Another win for this brand!
The final new product launch from Bourjois this season is Rouge Edition Velvet Souffle de Velvet. This product has an easy application brush, comes in 6 colours and a has matte finish! The matte texture means this product glides on easily and accurately. The third reason why we’re now Bourjois converts!
If you’re struggling to find a contour palette that suits your skin tone the Delice de Poudre Duo could be the answer, this product has been on the market for years and is loved by it’s loyal customers. It has just 2 shades in each palette meaning no confusion over what to use. On the market for almost 10 years, this is the original contouring palette!
We can’t wait to have a full Bourjois over pass us the Volume Clubbing Mascara!
